“EARTH DAY – THE GARDEN CENTER”
500 OAK TREES TO BE GIVEN AWAY
42nd Anniversary Celebration at The Garden Center
One of the “Billion Acts of Green”
Forty-one years after the first Earth Day in 1970, The Garden Center will celebrate this event by giving away 500 oak trees on Saturday, April 21st . Several varieties of these trees will be included such as Monterrey, Burr, Live and Red Oaks.
“We all know the more trees planted the better off this old earth will be” said Wayne Harrell, GM of the Garden Center. Harrell added, “These oaks average height is 3 ft. and we’ll start giving them away at 9:00 a.m. until we run out. Trees will be given away with a minimum purchase of $10 on a first-come, first served basis with limit one tree per household.”
To add to the celebration, Rusty Martin will be playing his guitar.
